Judy Elizabeth Ann Hill Patterson, 78, passed away in a tragic car accident on Sept. 27.

Judy was born in North Carolina on June 4, 1940.  She didn’t have much of a family life in her younger years, but found a worldwide family of brothers and sisters in the Jehovah’s Witness organization. She also found a loving family at the Aspen Grove Apartments where she last resided. It was at Aspen Grove that Judy met “Charlie,” her fiancé.  They were very happy together and were looking forward to their future together. Judy moved out to Harney County to live closer to her daughter, Nancy Woody.

Judy worked as a seamstress at a sewing factory and a cotton mill for many years. She was a talented seamstress. She also worked for home health care.

Judy is survived by her four children, Nancy Woody of Fields, Jackie Patterson of Clinton, S.C., Bobby Patterson of Laurens, S.C., and Roxanne Cothran of Pauline, S.C.; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Troy; and son, Kenneth.

She was loved, and her smile and strength will be missed by many friends and family. No services will be held.
