Charles E. Thompson, 83, passed away in a tragic car accident with his fiancé, Judy Patterson, on Sept. 27.

Charles was born May 15, 1935, in Kalispell, Mont., to George and Hazel Thompson. He worked most of his life as a mill worker for Edward Hines Lumber Company and as an independent plumber.

His current residence for the past 13 years was with his “other family” at the Aspen Grove in Hines.  This is where he met his fiancé, Judy, and they looked forward to spending many more happy years together. He was loved by many and had a lot of friends, far and wide. He might not have been able to hear or see very well these days, but he could always tell you stories from way back when he was a child clear up until the day he passed.  He loved to hunt, fish, and enjoy the great outdoors with his family and friends.

Charlie is survived by his biological children, Vallie Marjors Thomas, Dauna Robison, Vicki Dansforth, Tina Sterly, and Thomas Thomson; four step-children; grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Hazel Thompson; brother, Tommy Thompson; sisters, Trudy Thompson and Patricia Nobel; and brother-in-law, George Nobel.

No services will be held.
