Roy “Keith” Boggs 1939 – 2017

 

Roy “Keith” Boggs passed away April 19.

He was  born June 16, 1939, in Ontario to Roy K. and Reta (Robe) Boggs. He attended New Plymouth, Idaho high school, graduating in 1957. After school, he joined the Oregon Army National Guard as an artilleryman and attended Chemeketa Community College, earning an associates of science in criminal justice. Keith was a deputy sheriff for 20 years, and retired as the sheriff of Harney County in 1986.

Keith is survived by his best friend, Pat; two sisters, Barbara and Patty; four sons, Kerry, Kody, Kris, and Kenny; six grandchildren, Mitchell, Nicole, Keagan, Kade, Killan, and Stefany; and one great-grandchild, Kinsey.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 29, at West Valley Free Methodist Church in Fruitland, Idaho. Condolences may be made to Keith’s family at www.shaffer-jensenchapel.com.
