Harney County rodeo teams host two-day rodeos

The Harney County High School Rodeo Team hosted a two-day rodeo Saturday and Sunday, May 14-15, at the Harney County Fairgrounds.

Results for the Harney County team from the first day are as follows:

Alex Defenbaugh and Cashe Davis placed eighth in team roping; Lindsey Taylor and Zane Taylor 10th team roping; Tea Recanzone second in goat tying and fifth in pole bending; Trey Recanzone eighth in tie down roping; Z. Taylor ninth in tie down roping; GW Clark fourth in steer wrestling.

On the second day of competition, L. Taylor placed fifth in breakaway roping; Tr. Recanzone and Preston Pederson (Hermiston) second in team roping; Te. Recanzone sixth in pole bending and ninth in goat tying; Clark fourth in team roping.

Other Harney County high school students competing were Kassi Defenbaugh, Taylor Crafts and Jack Bentz

The Harney County Junior High Rodeo was held Friday and Saturday, May 13-14, at the fairgrounds. Results are as follows:

John Barry Rose first in ribbon roping; Ty Taylor second in ribbon roping; Rose and Coy Aldrich second in team roping; Taylor fifth in goat tying; Rose seventh in goat tying; Brady White ninth in goat tying and fourth in breakaway roping; Rose fourth in chute dogging and first in saddle steer riding.

On the second day of competition, Taylor sixth in ribbon roping; Taylor and White first in team roping; White seventh in goat tying; Rose second in goat tying; Taylor sixth in goat tying; White fifth in goat tying; Rose sixth in chute dogging; Taylor fifth in chute dogging; Rose first in saddle steer riding.

Adam White also competed for the Harney County team.
