Bill Englestadter

OBIT Englestadter WEBBill Englestadter passed away in November 2015 at his home in Idaho.

Bill was born in Yakima, Wash., to William and Carmen Young.

Bill’s favorite memories growing up were spent with grandparents and family trips to Priest Lake in Idaho. His big adventure was going to Alaska, learning to trap, and working on a crab boat on the Bering Sea. Bill began his career with UPS in Portland, moving to Burns, where he became involved in civic organizations, Jaycees being one of his favorites.

Bill enjoyed deep-sea fishing while visiting his family in Winchester Bay, along with the many camping trips with friends and family from Central and Eastern Oregon,

Bill will be remembered for his kindness and sense of humor.

At the time of his death, Bill was survived by his wife, Carolyn, and a blended family with four children. Bill never liked the word “stepchildren,” saying, “They were all our children.” Daughters, Kim, and husband, Shawn of North Carolina, and Vickie of Boise, Idaho; sons, Geoff, of Burns, and Wayne and wife, Tammy of Payette, Idaho; six grandchildren, Saleena, Ally, Kaitlyn, Tye, Dillon, and Harlee; brother, Ron and wife, Fayette, of Alaska; brothers-in-law, Dennis and wife, Cindy of Winchester Bay, Kenneth and wife, Sandra of Central Oregon, Tim and wife, Sandra of Central Oregon; mother-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Dave.

Services are pending. Any donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice, or to the Boise Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 1494, Boise, Idaho 83701-1494.
