Juanita Dickenson 1942 – 2021 Obituary March 17, 2021March 17, 20210 Juanita Dickenson passed away on March 7 at her home in Burns. She was 78 years old. Juanita was born in Grass Valley, Calif., July 24, 1942, to Marlon and Ola Mae Zuelsdorf. She married Ralph Dickenson on June 19, 1960, in San Francisco. She loved being a homemaker, gardener, card maker, and all her children. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service, first in Burns and then finished her career at the Hines Post Office. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; a beloved son, Dustin Dickenson; sister, Claudett Queva; and her adoptive parents, Walt and Esther Dickenson. Juanita is survived by her husband, Ralph; daughter, Elizabeth O’Connor, of Gold Hill, Ore.; sons, Stephen Dickenson, or Welches, Ore., and Ralph Dee Dickenson, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; sisters, Harriet Nichols, of Sacramento, Calif., and Rosie Carr, of Brownsville, Calif.; and seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial will be held later in the summer. Contributions in her memory can be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
