Shirley Louise Phillips 1936-2019 Obituary September 25, 2019October 1, 20190 Shirley Louise Phillips, 83, passed away peacefully Sept. 6 at her home in Burns. Shirley was born April 10, 1936, one of seven children. She was a loving mother to her only child, Julie M. (Phillips) Peasley; a wonderful mother-in-law to Kevin M. Peasley; a proud grandmother to granddaughters, Chamese D. Christianson and husband, Christoper Christianson, Miranda Owen, and Amber Owen; and great-grandchildren, Joyse Miller, Jaxson Rhoden, Holt Collins, Owen Christianson, and Troy Owen. Shirley loved hunting, fishing, playing slot machines, going to yard sales, Christmas-day gift giving, and spending time with her family. She also liked to sew and crochet and made the best pies ever. Gardening was one of her passions, and she loved all flowers and nature. Shirley is survived by her sisters, Marilyn J. Dewitt of Farmington, N.M., and Carol Bellor of Albuquerque, N.M.; good friends, Carol Goss and Roxi Moore; and her little dog, Tinker Bell. She was preceded in death by her loving husband and companion, Glen (Bill) Phillips; father, Jack T. Kerr; and mother, Glades M. Kerr of Albuquerque, N.M.; brothers, Jack M. Kerr and Vernon E. Kerr; sisters, Dorthy Kerr (Waite) and Patricia Kerr (Anderson); and good friend, Buck Goss. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Burns Cemetery. This can be a time to share a story with the family.
