William H. Jennings, Jr. 1940 – 2025

William Harold Jennings, Jr. (Bill) was born on July 23, 1940, and passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 27, 2025, at the age of 84, in Burns.

He is survived by his partner of 23 years, Jacqueline Runyan; and his children: Oleta Jackson, Rebecca Cordova, Gregory Jennings and Kathy Jennings; and their children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Throughout his life, Bill served others with thoughtfulness and compassion. He served in the United States Navy, was a member of the Elks club, and worked for Pacific Power for much of his career.

For relaxation, Bill’s hobbies were lamp making, woodworking with sagebrush, gardening and wine making with local fruits (plums and apricots). He was a very loving and generous man with a good sense of humor and a kind heart.

Bill was born and raised in Burns and then lived in various cities in Wyoming and Washington. For his retirement, he returned with Jackie in 2004 to Burns for the reminder of his life.

Please join family and friends at the memorial service to honor Bill and celebrate his life. Bill’s service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 2 p.m. at La Follette’s Chapel, 332 West Monroe Street, in Burns.

In lieu of gifts, the family would prefer donations to the Macular Degeneration Foundation.
