Hilanders run to first place at Ghoul or Glow Burns Cross Country October 16, 2024October 21, 20240 The Burns Hilander cross country teams took home first place at Vale’s Ghoul or Glow cross country meet held in Vale on Friday, Oct. 11. In the girls race, junior Addie Robbins crossed the finish line first for the Hilanders, finishing second overall with a time of 22.38.2, helping BHS place first with a score of 21. Vale finished second with 34 points. In the boys race, the Hilanders scored 33 points for first place, with Four Rivers coming in second with a score of 46. Vale came in third with 53 points and Homedale finished fourth with 88 points. Junior Lucian Miller crossed the finish line first for the Hilanders and third overall with a time of 18:00.1. Results for the Hilanders at the Ghoul and Glow are as follows: Girls Addie Robbins, 2nd (22:38.8); Hadley Gunderson, 3rd (23:53.2); Camryn Volle, 4th (24:03.7); Ariah Miller, 5th (24:06.2); Josie Glascock, 7th (24:11.3); Addi Basey, 13th (29:26.1); Kiera Murphy, 14th (31:03.9). The BHS cross country teams take the week off and will finish up the season in John Day at the Gold Rush Run on Thursday, Oct. 24, before heading to the 3A/2A/1A SD3 District 3 Championships held in Pendleton on Friday, Nov. 1.
