Mustangs roll Grant Union 59-6

The Crane Union football team blew-out the 2A Grant Union Prospectors 59-6 in Crane on Thursday, Sept. 5.

The Mustangs got off to a fast start, scoring 36 points in the first quarter, and adding another 16 in the second. At halftime Crane was up 52-0.

The Mustangs added another score in the third quarter before the Prospectors were finally able to reach the endzone.

Offensively, the Mustangs gained 107 yards in the air on 8 of 10 passing, and rushed for 200 yards on 18 attempts for a little over 11 yards per attempt.

Defensively, Crane forced five turnovers and held Grant Union to -44 yards rushing in the first quarter and -21 total yards of offense. The Prospectors were held to 135 yards of total offense for the game. 

The Mustangs are sitting at 1-1 and will play Cove in their first league game of the season at home on Thursday, Sept. 12. Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m.
