Delora (De) passed away Sept. 14, 2022 in Vancouver, Wash. She was born in Ontario, to Homer and Sylvia Fairbanks. She was the oldest of three children; raised in Harper, and graduated from Harper High School in 1943 before moving to Burns with her family.  

She worked in the office of Edward Hines when she married Theodore Gunderson in 1948. They had four children: Marcia (Butch) Kinder, Ronald, Dennis (Tedi) and Daniel (Cathy). Ted passed away in 1968.  De worked for the City of Burns before going to Harney County Farm Supply where she was the office manager for over 25 years. She married Darrel Harkey in 1971 until his death in 1985.

De had nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  She spent time in Hawaii and Colorado helping raise a few of her grandkids. She was able to travel, read, go camping, mine for gold and loved baking.  

De is survived by her daughter, Marcia Kinder, of Vancouver, Wash.; and son, Daniel Gunderson, of Camas, Wash.  She is preceded in death by her mother, her father, first husband Ted, second husband Darrel, infant son, Ronald and son, Dennis.

A memorial will be scheduled in Burns in Summer of 2023.
