Diana at 85 years of age, passed away on Sept. 2, 2022 in Hines, at Harney District Hospital, surrounded by her dear Dan Hooker. 

Diana was born on May 16, 1937 in Clatskanie, Ore. Diana was raised by her father, Elmer Pesio and mother, Florence Pesio. Diana had five siblings proceeded in death, Alan Pesio, Elmer Pesio Jr, Darlene Hendricks, Judy James and survivor, Alicia Campbell. 

Later on in life, Diana met her first husband, Roy Pierce, they married in 1952. They had four son’s, Kevin Pierce, Roy E Pierce, Jeffrey Pierce and Gary Pierce. After 17-plus years of marriage, Roy and Diana divorced and a few years later, Diana met her husband, Brett Kesterson, they got married in 1971. 

Diana had three grandchildren, Zachary Pierce, Alexis Yeaman (Pierce) and Ryan Pierce. Diana was also blessed enough to have three great-grandchildren, Charlee Ferguson, Kinleigh Pierce and Jaylinn Yeaman.

Diana first met Dan Hooker in 1969-1970 and thereafter in late 1980 when she brought her first grandson to visit Roy in Burns. Diana and Dan both experiencing slowly failing marriages, they put their lives together nearly 20 years ago. They experienced traveling and enjoyable memories together. Diana welcomed Dan’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren into her loving life with open arms.

Diana professed her life to Christ at an early age, she loved reading her Bible/Devotions every day and attended Country Christian Church in Molalla, Ore., for many years where she met and touched so many loved ones. Diana loved working in the Church and cherished praising the Lord with her dear family and friends. Diana loved spending time with family, helping others and having the biggest infectious smile that could never be matched. 

Diana was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. One of the most beautiful things about Diana is that she always put others first, there was nothing more that Diana loved then making sure that everyone she came in contact with was taken care of.

Diana will be missed by many. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put his arms around you and whispered, come to me. With tearful eyes we watch you and saw you pass away and although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A Golden heart stopped beating hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.
