New rates starting Jan. 1, 2025

Dear Burns Times-Herald subscribers,

We are writing to inform you of an upcoming change to the subscription price for the Burns Times-Herald. As a trusted source of community news, we are committed to delivering accurate, timely, and in-depth coverage that matters most to you.

As we continue to work tirelessly to maintain the quality of our journalism, while striving to keep our prices as affordable as possible, as you may be aware, the rising costs of paper, printing, production, distribution, postage, fuel and technology have created significant financial pressures for our business as well as many other small businesses.

As such, in order to continue providing you with the high-quality content you expect, we have found it necessary to implement a price increase for all subscription plans:

2025 Subscription Rates

Starting Jan. 1, 2025, the price for the weekly newspaper will increase from $1 to $1.50. Our yearly subscription rates have increased as well. An in-county subscription is now $50 for all newspapers mailed within Harney County; excluding our senior (over 62) subscribers, with that rate now being $45. All out-of-county subscriptions will be $65.

We understand that price changes can be frustrating, and we want to reassure you that this decision was not made lightly. The increased revenue will allow us to invest in expanded coverage, enhance our digital platforms, and ensure that we can continue to provide you with reliable, relevant, and comprehensive news every week and info on community events.

The Burns Times-Herald will still continue to publish obituaries, along with a photo, free of charge for any who have lived in Harney County as some point in their life.

We are truly grateful for your continued support of the Burns Times-Herald. Our mission is to provide you with journalism that enriches and informs, and we remain dedicated to bringing you the stories that matter most.

Thank you again for being part of the Burns Times-Herald community. We look forward to continuing to serve you in the years ahead.

Sincerely,

Nolan Graham,

Editor/Owner

Burns Times-Herald
