Marrissa Jane Sherrill 1993 – 2024 Obituary July 17, 2024July 17, 20240 Marrissa Jane Sherrill was born in Portland on Dec. 19, 1993. Marrissa and her beautiful contagious laugh, her gorgeous eyes, and quick wit gained her beautiful angel wings in the early hours of June 24, 2024, due to an epileptic grand mal seizure, in the comfort of her own home. Marrissa moved to Burns with her mother Jessica Estep in 1994. She attended preschool, grade school and junior high school in Harney County. Marrissa attended high school in the Portland area. She laid her roots in the McMinnville area, before meeting her boyfriend, Joe Aaroen and moving to Madison, Wisc., She lived there for four and a half years, before moving back to Burns and her boyfriend, for greater support and stability, while battling epilepsy, and keeping her independence. Marrissa is survived by her mother, Jessica Estep and husband, Gary Estep; paternal father, Patrick Brian Sherrill; grandmother, Pat Brewster; great-grandmother, Nancy Bratten; great-aunt, Millie Bratten; sister, Kristen Breshears; brother, Scott Breshears; boyfriend, Joe Aaroen; and Ray and Lonna Breshears, who played a significant role in Marrissa’s life; stepbrothers and stepsisters, uncles, aunts, cousins, and grandparents. Marrissa was proceeded in death by paternal grandparents; maternal great-grandfather. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to help with cremation and service costs.
