Volle, Horrell take second at state track meet in Eugene Burns Track May 22, 2024May 27, 20240 The Burns High School girls and boys track teams placed 22nd and 10th respectively, at the OSAA 3A State Championship held at University of Oregon’s Hayward Field on Thursday and Friday, May 16-17. The boys 4×400 relay team consisting of Jace Anderson, Canon Winn, Noah Guthrie, and Carsen Volle, ran the second fastest time in BHS history with a 3:28.96. The school record is 3:27.7, set in 1970. Carsen Volle broke his own school record in the 300m hurdles, running it in 38.66 and finishing in second place. The previous record was 40.02. His new record is the fourth fastest time in 3A history and the fastest time ever ran by a junior in the 3A classification.
