Both Burns and Crane High School track teams took part in the La Pine Invitational held at La Pine High School on Saturday, April 13.

The Burns girls came in fifth, scoring 60 points, with help from Caitlyn Horrell, who placed first in all three of her events. The Crane girls team finished in seventh place with 35 points. Madras finished in first place, scoring 110 points.

On the boys side, Burns finished three points behind Madras for second place. Madras finished with 129 points, while the Hilanders ended with 126 points. Burns managed to place first in the 3000 meters (Talon Morris), 110m hurdles (Carsen Volle), 300m hurdles (Canon Winn), and 4×400 relay (Jace Anderson, Winn, Noah Guthrie, and Jaden Davis). The Mustangs finished in fifth place, scoring 47.5 points with Tanner Joyce placing first in the 1500 meters.
