Eventually, the Vikings took control and just slowly pulled away” said head coach Rick Roy. The Vikings controlled face-offs, winning 14 of 18, Burns picked up 23 loose balls to Forest Grove’s 24, and put 10 shots on goal out of 18 total shots to Forest Grove’s 24 shots on goal out of 32 total shots. On Saturday’s afternoon game, Burns played against the Hillsboro High School Spartans and came out on the losing side, 15-9. As a team, we have to learn to play all four quarters.” The Spartans dominated possessions by dominating the face-off dot, winning 25 of 29 face-offs and picking up 44 ground balls to our 12.
