Photo by TY VOLLE Carsen Volle was the only Hilander from the Burns High School track teams to take part in the Summit Decathlon/Heptathlon held at Summit High School in Bend, over spring break, Friday and Saturday, March 29-30. The two-day event saw 28 competitors in the boys race. Volle placed first overall, scoring 5,277 points, 45 points ahead of second place finisher, Gabe Love from Crook County. Volle placed first in the 110m hurdles and second in the long jump, high jump and 400m. Results from the Summit Decathlon/Heptathlon are as follows: Day 1 100m — 5th, 11.54 Long jump — 2nd, 19’4” Shot put — 22nd, 29’5” High jump — 2nd, 5’7.75” 400m — 2nd, 52.4 Day 2 110m hurdles — 1st, 16.4 Discus — 10th, 91’ Pole vault — 11th, 9’0.75” Javelin — 14th, 109’ 1500m — 4th, 5:05 Total Points 5,277
