Connie Steelman retires from Postal Service after 42 years Community News March 6, 2024March 6, 20240 After 42-years of working for the United States Postal Service, with 24 of those years being at the Hines Post Office, Connie Steelman has officially retired with her last day being Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024. In celebration of her retirement, cake was available in the post office lobby all day Thursday for postal customers to enjoy. There was also a giant congratulatory card that well wishers were given the opportunity to let Connie know how much she will be missed. When asked what she was going to miss the most as well as the least about her job Connie quickly responded “I will miss the people the most, but I will not miss having to do all the reports that have to get done daily.” Connie said that she and her husband Ralph are looking forward to being able to do more camping, hunting and fishing now that she is retired and said that they also planned to do some traveling but was not sure to where. Congratulations Connie!
