Christmas Jamboree schedule Community News December 6, 2023December 6, 20230 Get ready to celebrate the season with the Harney County Christmas Jamboree, which will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, at various locations throughout Burns. The Christmas Parade will reverse its course this year, heading north through downtown Burns. The Christmas Parade will still line up on Alder Avenue and begin on Madison Street near the Historic Central Hotel. The parade route will travel north up Broadway Avenue and end on Foley Drive at the bonfire. A schedule of events is as follows: 8-10 a.m. Breakfast with Santa at the Burns Elks Lodge, 118 N. Broadway Ave. in Burns 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Craft vendors and gingerbread house contest at the Harney County Chamber of Commerce Community Room, 484 N. Broadway Ave. in Burns 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Gnome Scavenger hunt in downtown Burns. Contact the Chamber of Commerce for a scavenger hunt form. 9-10 a.m. Cookie decorating at Annie’s Bakery, 408 W. Monroe St., in Burns 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Christmas coloring at Broadway Deli, 530 N. Broadway Ave. in Burns 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Ornament decorating at Frontier Art Center, 405 N. Broadway Ave. in Burns 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Christmas tattoos for kids at The Barn, 430 N. Broadway Ave. in Burns 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Winterfest & Makers Market at the Historic Central Hotel, 171 N. Broadway Ave. in Burns 5:30 p.m. Christmas Parade in downtown Burns. The parade will be followed by a bonfire that will take place across the road from Triangle Park. Cookies and hot chocolate will be provided by Life4Square Church at the bonfire with Santa Clause making an appearance! • Food trucks and vendors will be at the Arrowhead Plaza, on the corner of North Broadway Avenue and East A Street.
