William (Bill) Robert Molt, age 66, passed away in his sleep, on the morning of Oct. 9, 2023.  

Bill was born April 4, 1957 in Twentynine Palms, Calif., to Daniel and Diane Molt. Four children, Diane, Morgan, Bill and Louie were born of that union, Bill being the third child. In high school, Bill exhibited livestock following in the tradition of his mother and his siblings.  

He graduated from Bear River High School in 1974, and he joined the military directly after high school. Bill then met the love of his life Jeanne Brockman. Bill worked in aerospace engineering in Utah until the unexpected death of his beloved wife.  Eventually, Bill made his way to Burns to help on the family ranch where he lived out the remainder of his days.  

Bill counted among his children Eric (Victoria) Molt, Melissa (Josh) Ward, Christine (Jared) Anderson, Mason (Dani) Shepherd, Brian Beausoleil, Damon Stevens, Levi Long, Briann Lancaster, and Dakota Stockwell. Bill was a kind and loyal friend who was always willing to help out. He was mechanically inclined and could be found getting a friend’s car going or helping teach his grandsons how to move and maintain irrigation water lines in the summer. Bill was a lover of math, always teaching math to one of his kids or grandkids. Bill was excellent with livestock and animals, and he was especially fond of his dogs who brought him friendship and joy.  

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, and his beloved Jeanne Brockman Molt. He is survived by his siblings; wife, Jeanie; children and his grandchildren, Eli, Daphne, Noah, Cyprus, Mikey, Finley, Florence, Dax, Jermaine, Trinity, Damon Jr., and Kendahl.
