Donations will be collected during the concert to support Harney County Save A Stray.

To kick off his USA Thankful Tour, Father Ray Kelly is returning to Burns for a repeat performance this Friday, Sept. 15, at Burns High School.

Father Ray was thrust into the spotlight many years ago when his beautiful rendition of the song, Hallelujah, captivated international audiences. Since then, he’s performed all over the United States and Europe. He was also a semi-finalist on Britain’s Got Talent.

His first two albums, Where I Belong and An Irish Christmas Blessing, are both exceptional. These releases were followed by Hallelujah Day, another outstanding example of his beautiful voice. Father Ray also has a two-song EP featuring the tracks, Breath of Heaven and I Heard Him Say. All of Father Ray’s work exemplifies his extraordinary, crystal-clear voice.

Once again, Bob and Michele Yunker and their wonderful group, Generations, will open for Father Ray. Generations goes on at 5 p.m., and Father Ray will take the stage at 6 p.m. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.

Donations will be requested at the door to support Harney County Save A Stray Rescue. The need never ends, and rising costs have made it difficult for the organization to continue rescuing, vetting, and feeding animals in need.

A silent auction will also be held during the concert. Many wonderful items have already been donated. Come view the display and place your bids.

Many thanks to Burns High School (BHS) Principal Erin Toelle, the BHS students, Alice Herauf, Diane Chapman, everyone who donated auction items, and everyone else who helped make this night possible.

Local band, Generations, will open for Father Ray at 5 p.m.

We hope to see you at the concert. Come help us welcome Father Ray back to Burns! If you saw last year’s concert, you know you’re in for a special night!

If you are unable to attend the concert, but would like to support Save A Stray, please mail donations to P.O. Box 403, Burns, Oregon 97720.

Save A Stray would like to thank everyone who has supported the organization over the years.

Many thanks to Dr. Katy Wallace and her crew at Sage Country Veterinary Service. They help tremendously with Save A Stray’s monthly spay and neuter clinics and Trap-Neuter-Returns (TNRs).
