Crane girls track team ties for second place at state

The Crane Mustang girls track team placed second, along with Adrian, at the OSAA 1A State Championships held at Hayward Field in Eugene on Thursday and Friday, May 25-26.

Junior Kortney Doman took home a gold medal in the high jump, with a jump of 5’ 1.75” to secure 10 points for the Mustangs. With a score of 64, the girls finished just three points shy of first-place finisher Damascus Christian. Powder Valley finished fourth, scoring 50 points, and Joseph had 44 points to round out the top-five teams.

On the boys side, Crane finished in 16th place, scoring 17 points. Adrian took home the team title, scoring 57 points. Imbler (47), Union (39), St. Paul (38.75), and Myrtle Point (35) rounded out the top-five teams.
