Albert Michael Scott passed away quietly, while family was near, in a hospital in Eugene, on Jan. 5, 2023. Mike (as he was known) was born March 17, 1937 in Burns, to Ray and Mildred Scott. He liked to fish and hunt and was very athletic, wrestling and gymnastics, swimming and diving.

Mike attended Burns Union High School and graduated in 1955, after which he enlisted in the Air force and spent a tour of duty in Korea. He married Hortense Foster and his son, Bill was born at Mt Home Air Force Base. Later the family moved to Eugene, where a daughter, Pamela was born.   Mike worked as a home appraiser and later started building homes, both in Eugene and at the beach. It was his pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an older brother, Johnny.  

Mike is survived by his wife, Tense; son, Bill; and daughter, Pam; grandsons, Billy and Jamie; granddaughter, Hanna; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by an older sister, Dauna Field, of Escondido, Calif., and younger sister, Anita Johnson, of Redmond.
