A total of 22 competitors took part in the 2022 Elks Hoop Shoot, which was held Saturday, Dec. 10.

Burns Elks Lodge No. 1680 held its annual Hoop Shoot competition Saturday, Dec. 10, at Burns High School.

A total of 22 competitors took part in the event. First-place finishers will move on to the next round, which will be held in Heppner Sunday, Jan. 8.

Results are as follows:

Ages 8-9
Girls: 1st — Bailey Briels; 2nd — Colbie Wagner; 3rd — Ainsley Peila and Addilyn Martinez.
Boys: 1st — Graysen Spence.

Ages 10-11
Girls: 1st — Hayden Miller.
Boys: 1st — Jackson Peila; 2nd — Blake Voges; 3rd — Oliver Doverspike.

Ages 12-13
Girls: 1st — Anita Peila; 2nd — Morgan Wagner; 3rd — Baileigh Nisbet.
Boys: 1st — Xavier Martinez; 2nd — Jayden Montague; 3rd — Oliver Doverspike.
