The Harney County Chamber of Commerce will host the Board Candidates Night Thursday, Dec. 1 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Harney County Community Center (located next to the Chamber at 484 N. Broadway in Burns).

All Chamber members are invited and encouraged to attend. The candidates will introduce themselves and discuss why they want to serve on the Harney County Chamber Board.

Elections will follow.

The following five candidate are running for a spot on the board:

Selene Dobson: “I have served one term on the board and would like the opportunity to serve a second term, to continue helping with all of the positive changes that are taking place.”

Jessica Hedges: “My interest in the Chamber is to better the commerce in Harney County through active service and by giving a voice to the historic and rural roots of our county.”

Randy Gibson: “I would like to promote our community and its businesses from store fronts to agricultural.”

Coleen Allen: “I would like to support our community.”

Scott Davies: “I can bring a different perspective to the Chamber.”
