Nathan Allen (Sheeve) Schmeck March 22, 2001 – Sept. 11, 2022 Obituary September 21, 2022September 21, 20220 Nathan Allen (Sheeve) Schmeck passed away from a car accident on Sept. 11, 2022. He was just 21 years old. Nathan hated getting up for school. He went to school here in Burns through the 2nd grade. Spent 3rd grade in Grand Rapids, Mich. Then to Emmett, Idaho where he was in the 4th grade, and then he moved back to Burns. Nathan had lot of nicknames through the years but Sheeve stuck the longest. He really liked that one. Nathan fought going to school everyday but if he was going hunting or fishing he would be up at 5 a.m.! He liked hunting with his dad and fishing with his best friend, Dakota Male. Nathan was a very friendly guy and had several surrogate families and even a surrogate girl friend. He seemed to collect friends everywhere he went. Nathan liked working. He liked working at the Truckstop, he talked with everyone. He spent part of his 20th year in Idaho doing gravel work. He learned to run several different machines in the quarry. He came back to Burns and started work at Fuelgood and was enjoying it. You could always find Nathan working on his truck or car, especially his derby car. He lived for derbies. He was doing well in them too. Nathan is survived by his mother, Penny Schmeck; his brother, Jonathan Schmeck; his new little niece, Jocelyn; his grandpa and nanna Schmeck, (John and Chris) of Idaho; his grandpa, Allen Willis of California; lots of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Laird; his paternal grandma, Ardetta; both his maternal grandparents, Mary Holmes and Datus Dean. Services for Nathan will be Thursday, Sept. 22, at 3 p.m. at LaFollette’s chapel.
