Debra Ann (Leach) Boren 1954 – 2022 Obituary August 10, 2022August 10, 20220 Debra Ann (Leach) Boren passed away on July 10, 2022 at St. Charles Medical Center in Bend from a battle with cancer. Debbie was born in Fresno, Calif. on April 2, 1954 to Willard Roland Leach and Bertha Claudine Leach. She grew up in Carpinteria, Calif., and attended high school there. She played volleyball, softball, and basketball with her sister, Belinda. They were one-year and five-days apart and they were inseparable. They would always go to school dances and drive-in theaters together. In 1975, Debbie moved to Burns with her sons, Michael Thompson and Neil Dommeyer. In 1984, she married Tom Boren and helped raise his sons, Keith and Tommy. Their marriage ended in 2017. Debbie enjoyed all things in life bur mostly spending time with her family, and her son, Michael and his family, enjoying her grandkids, whom they called Nannie. She loved collecting sea shells and rocks, going rock hounding to find arrowheads, thrift shopping, and making shirts and jewelry. Debbie also loved being outdoors, whether up in the woods or a sunny day at the beach. She loved and enjoyed everyone. Debbie is survived by her son, Michael, and his wife, Jamie Thompson; sisters, Belinda Leach and Glinda Leach; brother, John, and his wife, Robin Leach; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; countless numbers of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Willium; Scott Leach and son, Neil Dommeyer.
