The Burns Hilander girls basketball team picked up a pair of victories against Ontario and Riverside this past week.

On Tuesday, Jan. 18, Burns demolished the Ontario Tigers at home, 60-13.

Kaitlyn Wright led the Hilanders with 20 points. Akylah Kaino finished with 10, Kaya Dobson and Olivia Winn ended with eight each, Amanda Sanders had seven, and Ashley Wright and Kyra Robey had three points each.

The Hilanders continued to roll, scoring 60 points in back-to-back games by beating Riverside at home, 60-34 on Saturday, Jan. 22.

K. Wright led the Hilanders again with 24 points, followed by Kaino with 10. Halle Houck and Merissa Medley finished with five points. A. Wright and Dobson had three points each.

The Hilanders played Nyssa at home on Tuesday, Jan. 25. Stats will be available in next week’s edition of the Burns Times-Herald.
