Oliver Barnes won the 126-pound weight class, and Kale Cornell won the 120-pound wight class as the Burns Hilander wrestling team placed seventh in the 13-team Muilenburg Tournament held Friday and Saturday, Dec. 10-11, in La Grande.

Oliver Barnes won by fall over Kai Carson of La Grande to win the gold medal.

Kale Cornell defeated Aiden Favorite of Hermiston, 4-0 in the finals to place first.

Burns had six wrestlers place, two losing in the final round to rack up 141 points.

La Grande took the team title with 320 points, followed by Hermiston with 302, Weiser, Idaho with 232.5, Estacada with 204, Bishop Kelly, Idaho with 174.5, Scappoose with 165, Burns with 141, Pendleton with 139, Reynolds with 75, McLoughlin/Weston-McEwen with 54, Elgin with 49, Imbler with 27.5, and Union with 15.
