Carol Delores Dawson 1938 – 2021 Obituary October 27, 2021October 27, 20210 Carol Delores Dawson, 83 of Burns, passed away Oct. 12, 2021 in her home with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. Carol was born May 6, 1938 in Green River, Wyo. Carol worked in Denio for years until she moved to Lakeview. There, she worked at a dairy owned by Tom and June Kimzy. She attended school in various places, including Frenchglen up until the 8th grade. Her family lived in Wagontire where her dad worked for Jack West. She also lived at the GI Ranch and numerous places. Carol enjoyed following her husband of 46 years, going from ranch to ranch, cooking for the buckaroo crews. She also worked as a CNA in Burns. She enjoyed the old time fiddlers, in which her grandson, Ian, was a fiddler. Ian was her pride and joy. Carol is survived by her daughter, Teresa Stepheno and her husband, Jeremiah; son, Ronnie Dawson; grandson, Ian Dawson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cliff Dawson; sister, Janet Sherburn; brother, Richard Roe; and mother, Winefred Shultz.
