Jari Ann (Souders) Armstrong 1952 – 2021 Obituary September 29, 2021September 29, 20210 Jari Ann (Souders) Armstrong was born in Colby, Kan. on Jan. 10, 1952 to Eleanor and Kenneth Souders and was the youngest of two children. In 1954 at the age of two, her family relocated to Klamath Falls where she lived until she was 20-years-old when she met, then married Steven Armstrong. Jari met Steve when he was in town playing music as a drummer. After their wedding on Jan. 10, 1972, they took the short journey north to Burns where she lived for the next 49 years. Jari’s primary career in life was raising her two children, but she did enjoy various other jobs as a certified florist at Desert Floral, waitress at RJ Restaurant, and bank teller at U.S. Bank. She is survived by her husband, Steven; children, Brooke (Derrick) Breazeale, and Travis (Jennifer) Armstrong; brother, Randell (Carolyn) Souders; and her six grandchildren, Skyler, Shelbie, Ryelee, Shiloh, Amaya, and Zealand. Jari was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, and loyal friend. Her family was her pride and joy. She was an avid reader who loved to go to the Harney County Library. She looked forward to Sundays because of her weekly Skype and phone conversations with her children and grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed working in her yard on gardening projects. Please join the family for Her Celebration of Life at the Valley Golf Course on Oct. 14 with the gathering starting at 4 p.m. and life’s memory program at 5 p.m. with dinner to follow.
