In June, Layle graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree in animal science with an option in production and a minor in agricultural and food business management. She is also the first person at OSU to graduate with an additional minor in agricultural and natural resources communications. During Layle’s career as a college student, she was also a member and executive officer in the professional agricultural sorority Sigma Alpha, the secretary for collegiate 4-H, a Young Member Representative for the Linn Benton County Oregon Women for Agriculture, a member of Steer-A-Year, and a representative for OSU’s Agricultural Executive Committee Council. Layle worked very hard during her college career and overcame many challenges. Her family could not be more proud of her and knows she will be doing more great things in her life. Layle returned home to Harney County, bringing her newfound expertise and knowledge with her. She will be working to contribute to the community that gave her so much throughout her childhood and teenage years and drew her back as a young adult.
