Monty D. Gregg, son of Iona Murrell Gregg and James Andrew Gregg was born on Jan. 27, 1951 in Burns. He passed away on May 29, 2021 in Burns.

Monty attended grade school in Burns until his family relocated to Bend, where he attended Cascade Middle School and Bend Senior High. 

He served in the U.S. Marine Corp from Nov. 4, 1968 to Sept. 15, 1972. He served his country with pride.

On Feb. 22, 1969 he married Betty Garcia, they had three children which they raised in Redmond.

He is survived by his mother, Iona Gregg; ex-wife, Betty Gregg; daughter, Deanna Lambert (Scott); son, Monty R. Gregg (Carisa); brother, James M. Gregg; sister, Mona Drake; and four grandchildren.

He is proceeded in death by his father, James A. Gregg; and daughter, Martha Gregg.

A grave side service will be held at the Redmond Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday, June 9 at 12:00 p.m.
