Roberta “Bobbie” M. Buckley 1943 – 2021 Obituary February 10, 2021February 10, 20210 Roberta passed away at her home in Vancouver, Wash. shortly after learning she had lung cancer. Bobbie was born in Wallace, Idaho to Robert W. and Margaret V. (Hill) Russell. She joined sisters Marlene, Marcheta and brother, David, came later. The family moved to Burns in 1954 and Bobbie finished her schooling in Burns graduating from BUHS in 1961. Soon after graduation, she married Lee Spector and they had a son, David B. Spector. They moved to Allentown, Pa. for several years and she moved back home to Burns with her son. She worked as a type setter at the Burns Times-Herald until moving to Portland in 1968 where she worked as a type setter for the Oregonian. Later she went to work for Time Oil Co. as office manager for 25 years. She married Robert “Bob” Buckley and they lived in Gladstone, Ore. until they retired. The moved to Burns in June in 1999 and built a new home in Hines. Bobbie loved playing all kinds of games, but Bingo was one of her favorites. She was a tease and a prankster and loved playing with young kids. She loved spending time with her six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Bobbie is survived by her son, David and Monica; granddaughters, Zola and husband, Derrick and their son; Dove and Kyle and their two children; Violette and fiancé, Andrew; grandsons, Robert and fiancée, Cassie; Scott and fiancée, Mandy; and Anthony; sister, Marcheta and husband, Dick Roser; brother, David and wife, Kandy Russell; and many nieces and nephews, cousins and long time friend and companion, Neil Wallis. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roberty Buckley, and sister, Marlene Martin. There is no service at this time.
