LaVon Wayman 1934-2020 Obituary April 1, 2020April 1, 20200 LaVon Wayman, 85, passed away peacefully March 22 at her son’s home in Lake Stevens, Wash. LaVon was born March 26, 1934, in Rupert, Idaho, to Nellie Mae Thompson and Joseph Webber Perkins. The family moved around and ended up in Nampa, Idaho, where she met and married the love of her life, Howard Wayman. They were married for 57 years and had five children, Candy, David, Kathleen, James, and Tracy. When they were married they owned a dairy farm in Idaho, but later moved to Burns. She worked as a nurse’s aide at the local hospital and nursing home. When the mill closed, they moved to Waldport, where they had a successful contracting business. Upon retirement they became “snow birds” in Arizona until settling in Notus, Idaho. She loved gardening, especially her irises and gladiolus which were always so colorful, and reading books by her favorite author, Nora Roberts. LaVon is survived by her son, David (Lorraine); daughter, Kathleen; grandchildren, David Pool, Shannon (Josh) Dreyer, Brandon Wayman, Howard Wayman, Tara Wayman, and Seth Wayman; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; daughter, Candy (Pool); son-in law, Edward Pool; sons, James and Tracy; and grandson, Jeromy. A graveside service will be held at Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise, Idaho, where she will be laid to rest by her loving Howard on a future date.
