Andrew James Seebart 1963-2020 Obituary March 18, 2020March 18, 20200 Andrew James Seebart, 56, passed away March 5 at a care facility in Boise, Idaho. Andrew, also known as Andy or Turtle, was born Dec. 14, 1963, in Burns. He was raised in Seneca until November 1972 when the family moved to Burns. Andy graduated from Burns High School, and then went into the U.S. Coast Guard, being stationed in Astoria. When Andy came home, he worked for ranchers in the hay fields for many years. He also went to North Carolina and worked in a boys camp as co-councilor. The group was called the Trail Blazers. When Andy came back to Burns, he worked as a deputy for the Harney County Sheriff’s Office for about 13 years, then as a Hines police officer for a while. He was also involved with search and rescue and emergency training. In addition, Andy served in the Oregon National Guard for about 13 years. Andy then went to Mountain Home, Idaho, for a few years to perform emergency mapping for the city. Andy spent the last 11 years in the Life Care Center in Boise, Idaho, and was chosen to represent Life Care Centers of America. Andy is survived by his parents, Alice and Bud Seebart of Burns; brothers, Ron (Lisa) Seebart of Ontario, and Charles (Cindy) of Madras; sister, Beth Zink of Burns; nephews, Joseph (Tabby) Seebart of Ontario, Anthony, Jeshua, Luke, Caleb, Kyle, Christian, and Kalin; and nieces, Cassidy, and Kyla. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 20, at Faith Baptist Church, with burial to follow in the Burns Cemetery.
