Dial-A-Ride offering trips to Bend News January 15, 2020January 15, 20200 Photo by RANDY PARKS Beginning Thursday, Jan. 16, Harney County Dial-A-Ride will offer a fixed route to Bend and Redmond. Seeing an opportunity to better serve the riders, Harney County Dial-A-Ride is now offering a fixed route to Bend and Redmond, beginning Thursday, Jan. 16. The route will alternate between Tuesday and Thursday, every other week. The first trip will be Jan. 16; the next trip will be Tuesday, Jan. 21; the following trip will be on Thursday, Jan. 30; and so on. Each trip will originate at the Harney County Senior and Community Services Center. Riders should meet there at 6:30 a.m. for a 7 a.m. departure. Appointments for the 3 p.m. return trip to Burns must be made between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The vehicle will make stops at Riley, Hampton, and the Brothers rest area along the way. In Bend, stops will be made at the St. Charles Medical Center area and at the Hawthorne Station. There are no cost deviations for Bend medical appointments, Redmond airport, medical appointments in Redmond, or shopping. All other deviations need to be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. The costs are as follows: Round trips westbound • Burns to Bend $35 round trip; • Riley to Bend $27 round trip; • Hampton to Bend $18 round trip; • Brothers rest area to Bend $9 round trip. One-way westbound • Burns to Bend $18; • Riley to Bend $14; • Hampton to Bend $9; • Brothers rest area to Bend $5. One-way eastbound from Bend • Bend to Burns $18; • Bend to Riley $14; • Bend to Hampton $9; • Bend to Brothers $5.
