Jack William Covert, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away July 25.

Jack had been married to his wife, Jean Covert, for almost 54 years. Together, they had two daughters, Cynthia Spencer and Jacquiline Silverman. He has three grandchildren, Mike Covert, Madison Silverman, and Ariel Silverman, and one great-grandson, Jack Covert.

Jack was a machinist and fabricator for 43 years. He liked to rock hound and was always happy to help anyone with anything. He retired here with Jean 16 years ago, and he loved it here.

Jack asked that there be no service, as he didn’t want anyone making a fuss. His ashes will be spread in the redwoods that he loved. LaFollette’s Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
