Burns boys, girls take titles at Vale meet Burns Sports Burns Track Sports April 10, 2019April 10, 20190 The Burns boys and girls track teams both laid claim to the team titles at the Oregon Trail Invitational held Saturday, April 6, in Vale. The Burns girls racked up 145 points to win the meet, with Ontario placing second with 131.5 points. The Hilander boys won the boys team title with 111 points, and Idaho City, Idaho, finishing second with 97 points. The Hilander girls swept the top three spots in the 800, 1,500, and 3,000 races, and also won the 4×400 relay on their way to the win. For the Burns boys team, Emmett Klus won both the 400 and 3,000 races, Calvin Bates placed first in the 1,500 meters, and Garrett Goss won the pole vault.
