Mustangs pick up wins

The Crane boys and girls basketball teams cruised to lopsided victories over Burnt River on Friday, Feb. 8.

The Lady Mustangs beat Burnt River 97-13 to improve to 12-1 in the High Desert League, 21-3 overall.

The Crane boys won their game 70-13 to raise their league record to 12-1, 17-7 overall.

The games with Four Rivers, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 9, were canceled because of inclement weather.

The Mustangs will travel to John Day for the district tournament Friday and Saturday, Feb. 15-16, at Grant Union High School.

After a few years in college, he settled in Idaho for a decade, skiing, golfing, and working at Sun Valley Resort. He married in 1985, completed broadcast school, and moved to Harney County in 1989 to work for KZZR. After 16 years of on-air work, he left the radio station and went to work for the Burns Times-Herald.
