Seasonal illness precautions in place at Harney District Hospital Health Care News November 28, 2018November 28, 20180 Standard seasonal illness precautions have been put in place at Harney District Hospital for the health and safety of patients and staff. All visitors are asked to check in at the admitting desk at the front of the hospital, even if just visiting friends or family. For the safety of patients and staff, visitors will be asked to wear a visitor sticker while in the facility. Those who are ill or not feeling well are asked to not visit patients in the hospital unless absolutely necessary. It is requested that parents keep children 18 years and younger at home. Patients with symptoms of a contagious illness are asked to put on a mask as soon as they enter the hospital. Tissues, masks, and alcohol hand rubs will be available to patients and visitors in the admitting areas. Patients may be asked to wait in a certain area of the waiting rooms, and screening for symptoms of contagious conditions will be done before entering all units of the hospital.
