Frontier Art Center offering workshop Arts and Entertainment November 7, 2018November 8, 20180 The Frontier Art Center, at 405 N. Broadway in Burns, presents the first in a series of Artist Showcase workshops from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14. This series is taught by Crane Union High School art teacher Connie Robbins. This first Artist Showcase will feature works by John James Audubon, a world-renown bird artist, and Albert Bierstadt, famous for his dynamic western U.S. landscapes. Both American artists helped in the expansion of the American West. Learn about the artists and their paintings and create a related art project, using acrylic paints within a wildlife image. Appropriate for ages 12 and older. Some use of sharp objects will be required. Snacks and beverages will be available.
