Walter Rochon, 88, passed away peacefully Oct. 25 at his residence in Burns, with his wife, Shirley, at his side.

Walter was born April 18, 1930, in Watertown, Mass.

Walter and Shirley were married for 54 years, residing in Burns for the past 17 years. Walter loved fishing, hunting, and was a member of Burns Elks Lodge No. 1680.

Walter is survived by his wife, Shirley Rochon; children, Laura of Montana, Dale of Oregon, Robin of Texas, Josh of Florida, Shirley, Brenda, and Steven of Massachusetts, and Scott of New York; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bill.

Per Walter’s and Shirley’s wishes, there will be no services.
