Daniel Keith (Boone) McLean 1958-2018 Obituary October 31, 2018November 2, 20180 Daniel Keith (Boone) McLean passed away Oct. 20. Daniel was born Dec. 22, 1958, in Burns. He attended Pine Eagle High School and graduated in 1977. In the early 1980s, Boone enjoyed wrangling wild horses for the BLM in Harney County with his cousin, Mike McLean. He also attended Boise State, training to become a respiratory therapist. Boone went on to work as a respiratory therapist at the Holy Rosary Hospital in Ontario for many years. He also graduated from lineman school in Idaho. He was currently working as a truck driver for Black Distribution. Boone loved the outdoors and enjoyed many hobbies like elk and chukar hunting, bass and steelhead fishing, golfing in Twilight League (Miner’s Jubilee), mushrooming, hunting, huckleberry picking with family, camping, and just being with family. He was also part of the Baker City Elks. Boone is survived by his mother and her husband, Wilma and Butch Sadlowsky of Richland; father and his wife, Keith and Linda McLean of Burns; brother and wife, Steve and Cindy McLean of Baker City; sister, Amanda McLean of Burns; sister, Carol and Patrick Wheeler of Burns; sister, Rhonda Sadlowsky of Baker City; stepson, Justen Crittenden McLean; stepdaughter, Tara Sowden; nieces, Mandy Clark, Peggy McLean, and Hilary Frates McLean; nephews, Brandon McLean and Greg McLean. Boone was preceded in death by his grandparents, Floyd and Mildred Johnson, and Warren and Avis McLean.
