Joann Drahosh, 66, of Anchorage, Alaska, passed away Oct. 10, following a long battle with cancer.
Joann was born March 29, 1952, in Redding, Calif., to Bill and Novie Hunter. She worked many years at the Anchorage Community Mental Services. She was a member of AMVETS and president of the AMVETS Women’s Auxiliary Post 49.
She is survived by longtime partner, Jerry Weaver; son, Brian Drahosh, his wife, and two grandchildren of Lebanon; a twin brother, William Hunter of Burns; sisters, Margaret O’Dell and Shirley Hunter of Burns; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held Oct. 21 at AMVETS in Anchorage.
