Vanita “Nita” Marjeane (Sessler) Pearson 1920-2018 Obituary February 21, 2018February 22, 20180 Vanita “Nita” Marjeane (Sessler) Pearson passed away Feb. 2 in Portland. She was born Sept. 27, 1920, in Liberal, Kan., to Dallas J. and Pearl Mae Ihde Sessler. Vanita was a seamstress/tailor employed at Quality Cleaners in Burns. After moving to Portland, she was employed by Zukor’s, and upon retiring, she continued alterations out of her home until her death. Vanita is survived by her daughters, Arden Dodson of Albany, and Freddy Sharon Huston of San Diego, Calif.; son, Gary L. Hebener of Redmond; brothers, Ronald “Bud” D. Sessler of Portland, Alfred Ray Sessler of Wade, Ark.; sister, Marvella June MacLeod of Portland; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dallas J. Sessler; sister, Belva J. James; daughter, Gayla Ray Presley; two granddaughters; and two grandsons. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
