Clarence “Earl” Hefley 1942-2017 Obituary May 31, 2017June 1, 20170 Clarence “Earl” Hefley passed away May 13 at his home in Burns following a long battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Earl was born May 30, 1942, in Longview , Wash., to Delvan and Doris Hefley. For the last two years, Earl was housebound, but before that, he helped as a tutor for K-1 and 4-5 grades. He also donated time for Homework Heroes through the Kids Club. He worked through the foster grandparent program. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; brothers, Dale, Darrell, and Greg; eight children, Jennifer, Junnene, Joyce, James, Jason, Maggi, Jim, and Jeff. He was preceded in death by two daughters, a brother, and his parents. Earl loved Harney County and the people. He was happy here. There will be no service.
