(Photos by LINDY WILLIAMS) The Crane Union High School wrestling team traveled to Halfway to take part in the Pine Eagle Invitational. The Mustangs placed fourth out of fourteen teams. Sam Williams placed first in the 220-pound weight class, and pinned all three of his opponents. William Johnson received a second-place medal in the 145-pound weight class. Rixon Doman and Imani Schaefer both placed fourth in the 126 and 138 pound weight classes, respectively. Warren Johnson placed fifth at 160 pounds, and Pierce Epling and Glen Starbuck placed sixth at 132 and 126 pounds, respectfully. New Plymouth placed first in the team results with 184.5 points, followed by Irrigon with 122 points, Enterprise 95, Crane 91.5, Nyssa 83.5, Grant Union/Prairie City 78, Pine Eagle 77, Heppner/Ione 71.5, Adrian 68, Joseph/Wallowa 61, Elgin 52.5, Imbler 49.5, Union/Cove 41, Echo/Stanfield 25. Individual results are as follows: Pierce Epling and Cache Campbell, both of Crane, grapple at 132 pounds.
