Raymond Russell Lissman 1927-2017 Obituary January 11, 2017January 13, 20170 Raymond Russell Lissman, 89, of Vale, passed away peacefully at his home Jan. 4. Ray was born Feb. 1, 1927, in Nelson Neb., to Henry and Della Webb/Lissman. He graduated high school in Pavillion Wyo., and the family then moved to the family farm on Gem Avenue in Ontario and Nyssa. Ray was drafted into the Army during World War II. After his return from the service, he married Nila Nadine Hines/Lissman, and from that union had six children. Ray worked for the Edward Hines Lumber Company out of Seneca over the next 30 years. After retirement, he started working again with what he truly loved, ranching and farming. Ray is survived by his daughter, Nila of Ontario; son, Dan of Ontario; daughter, Carolyn and Bill of Fossil; daughter, Darlene of Burns; daughter, Sylvia and Jerry of Vale; daughter-in-law, Carol of Rocklin, Calif.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; son, Kris; wife, Nila Nadine Lissman; and son-in-law, Jerry. A service will be held at 1 p.m. (MT) Saturday, Jan. 14, at Valley View Cemetery in Vale. There will be a gathering at the Vale American Legion Hall following the service.
